Old town Reykjavik

Breakfast at Nordica Hilton Executive Lounge...planning my day.  Learning about what to drink, eat and visit.

Nordic salmon is my favorite.  Light, oily, flavorful.

The lounge host shared her favorite coffee shop in town:  Kaffitar.  Woman owned, fair trade sourced, roasted in house.  Quaint. lovely. Tomorrow, I'll try another on the list of top 5 coffee houses.

Christmas coffee. with cinnamons and brown sugar.
Here are a few funny sites in old town..
famous hot dog stands, all over Reykjavik.
Yea, I didn't check into it.

Ode to the Icelandic Christmas trees in shops!

4.5 hours of daylight, yea, it's gray...

I was told that two meals I should have are Lamb stew, steak or anything lamb AND the Arctic char, or Cod or River salmon.
Window shopping.  Simple clean lines.

lamb at Ostabudin
the beets were even great, I don't always enjoy them!
