Why Dubai? Well for starters, this man-made destination was once a sleeping village of pearl divers and merchant trade. Once oil was discovered it gave the economy a huge boost. To say the least.

With only an quick overnight in Dubai, I chose the Armani Hotel at the base of Burj Khalifa. Nice but everything is in dimly lit. Mystique I guess.
